Nikki Haley fired back at Donald Trump this weekend after Trump mocked Haley's National Guard husband who is currently deployed in Africa, RadarOnline.com can report. Trump's surprising remarks about his GOP challenger's husband came on Saturday during a 2024 campaign rally in Haley's home state of South Carolina. "What happened to her husband?" Trump quipped during his speech on Saturday. "She comes over to see me at Mar-a-Lago: Sir, I will never run against you." "She brought her husband," the former president continued. "Where is her husband? Oh, he is away. He's away." "What happened to her husband? What happened to her husband?!" Trump went on. "Where is he?! He's gone. He knew. He knew." It should be noted that Haley's husband, Major Michael Haley, serves in the National Guard and is currently deployed to Camp Lemonnier in Djibouti.

The former South Carolina governor fired back at Trump on X shortly after the ex-president ridiculed her and her husband on Saturday. "Michael is deployed serving our country, something you know nothing about," Haley charged. "Someone who continually disrespects the sacrifices of military families has no business being commander in chief."
Haley responded to Trump's remarks about her deployed husband once again on Monday during an interview with Fox News host Dana Perino. The former UN ambassador called Trump "disgusting" and claimed that when "you mock one veteran" you are "mocking all veterans."

Moscow is looking to fill the gap now that the military junta in Niamey has given the US Military the boot. Niger had been on the frontlines with the West fighting against the jihadists in Africa's Sahel Region. However, relations have changed dramatically with military coups in Mali and Burkina Faso bothof which have also sought closer relations with Russia.

Russian influence has grown in the Sahel as the Wagner Mercenary Group was reorganized and rebranded as Africa Corps following the August 2023 death of its founder Yevgeny Prigozhin in a plane crash that has never been fully explained.

The military regime in Niger denounced the military cooperation agreement with the United States dating from 2012 after a three-day visit by senior American officials to Niamey and has told us to basically get lost. This follows on the heels of France after the former French colony told the France military to get out. The last French soldier left in December
Mr. Abdramane characterized the US military presence as  a burden in Niger forcing Niger to pay billions of dollars per year for the military base and drone operations we have in Niger.    We have a little more than 1000 soldiers in Niger and a major drone base in Agadez.
The military junta came to power on July 26th, 2023 overthrowing the current president and denounced military agreements with France.
Editorial: Niger is really pissed off at the United States over being accused of supplying Uranium for Iran's nuclear weapons program and also still holds a grudge against us after the late Colin Powell accused Niger of supplying Uranium to Iraq and then going in and invading the country based on this fabrication.

Ghana / Richard Sky Asks The Ghana Sup...
Last post by Kenneth Erwin Engelhardt - Mar 19, 2024, 04:54 PM
Prominent Radio Broadcaster Richard Sky (Citi 97.3 FM) has filed a writ with the Ghana Supreme Court asking the court to prevent the Human and Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill(also known as the Ghana Anti-Gay Bill) from being signed into law by to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

He also seeks an injuction against any attempt to enforce the bill especially the part of it that criminalizes same sex relationships.

"The writ also contends that the anti-gay bill contravenes many provisions in the constitution such as Article 12 (1) which enjoins all arms of government to respect and uphold the fundamental human rights of all persons, Article 15(1) which protects the dignity of all persons and Article 18(2) which protects the privacy of people.

Other provisions, he argues, are Article 17(1) which provides for equality before the law and Article 21(a) and (b) which protects freedom of speech and thought."

The constitutionality of the bill has also been challenged previously by human rights activist Dr. Amanda Odoi who claimed the Speaker of the Parliament and the Parliment in general had violated the constitution.

According to Bloomberg, it may scrap it.

But according to Inside Africa the MOU between Somaliland and Ethiopia will evolve into a comprehensive agreement.

Here is my guess on this: Turkiye is probably working out some kind of agreement between Ethiopia, Somalia and Somaliland that will probably grant defacto recognition to Somaliland without actually publicly saying it is a fully independent country. Let Somaliland and Ethiopia do their thing as long as this does not get in the way of Turkiye's defense agreement with Somalia.
